Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammet Derda ÖZER

Dr. Muhammet Derda Özer is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology (FICO). He completed his medical degree and ophthalmology residency at Istanbul University, followed by advanced training at the Wills Eye Institute in the United States. Throughout his career, Dr. Özer has combined extensive clinical practice with academic research, focusing on ocular oncology, pediatric and infectious uveitis, corneal cross-linking in keratoconus, vitreo-retinal surgery, and ocular imaging. He has held academic positions at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University and Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University, and has been awarded prestigious fellowships, including the ICO-STAAR Surgical Vitreo-Retina Fellowship at the University of Kansas, USA. With more than 40 peer-reviewed publications and numerous international congress presentations, Dr. Özer is recognized for his contributions to ophthalmic research and education at both national and international levels
